The recipe was good, but it needed more flavor for it to taste like barbecue. It cooked perfectly, at the end we ended up draining the sauce off (too much fat) and put about a cup of Bulleyes eye BBQ sauce drizzled over the ribs and put in the oven on 350 for 15 minutes. That did the trick. The ribs tasted real good then, got lots a compliments!

This was wonderful! For those that want spicier – just add more chili powder and/or hot sauce! For those that want a thicker sauce, just add the remaining flour mixture on top of the ribs before adding the liquid. The only things I did differently were the aforementioned, plus I used a half cup of red wine and half cup water - I often add wine as I feel it helps tenderize and adds flavor. My husband really enjoyed these ribs! I used a hot sauce called Tiger Sauce. If you never tried it, it is a nice hot sauce with just a hint of sweet, kind of unique.

The only thing I did different was the cooking method. I do not have a pressure cooker, so I fried the ribs in an iron skillet, then placed them in a glass casserole dish with the onions and sauce. I covered it with foil and baked at 250 degrees for about 3 hours. It was so tender and juicy! My husband and the children enjoyed it immensely!

This tastes a lot more complicated than it is. I read the recipe twice to make sure I didn't forget any seasonings-some how the ketchup and onions turn into something complex during the cooking. I will absolutely make this again

My first recipe in my new pressure cooker and it was a success. Tasty, tender and easy. I added 1/2 cup barbeque sauce to sauce recipe. Thanks for posting, John.

Very tender & flavorful. Not quite spicy enough for our tastes -- added about twice as much hot pepper sauce as called for, but will probably add more next time (or maybe replace chili powder w/ ground cayenne) for a little more kick. Also used 1/4 c ketchup + 1/4 c BBQ sauce instead of 1/2 c ketchup. Sauce was a bit thin (again, just personal preference), so may decrease the water a bit next time...but this is a definite keeper in our house!
