Delicious! the only thing I didn't really care for was the strawberry topping.. it was okay, but i had to add more sugar and water. I also made a couple modifications. I used strawberry cream cheese and added strawberries to the pie as well as putting the strawberries on top. I like strawberries. Came out great!

This reminds me of a banana split. I was originally looking for banana cream, but the strawberry with it intriqued me. I adapted the recipe since I make most things from scratch and don't keep store bought on hand. I made a homemade graham crust in my springform pan. I used one package of crackers, 1 Tablespoon + of pure vanilla, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and 3 Tablespoons melted butter. Then, I whipped up some homemade whipped cream to replace the Cool Whip and went ahead and made the pie. I already pureed some strawberries a few days ago with strawberries and sugar, so I poured that on top, piped extra whipped cream around the edge and sprinkled some ice cream sundae nuts on top. I stored mine in the freezer for a colder, creamier pie instead of the fridge. Excellent.

I LOVE THIS Receipe!!! I have made it twice now and have received rave reviews. The only thing that I did different was I added 1/2 cup of sliced strawberries into the mixture.

Wonderfully delicious and easy to make. A crowd pleaser. I didn't make the strawberry topping, it was just fine without it.
