Sorry to be one of the reviewers who "poo poo" this recipe, but it's wrought with problems. I should have listened to the other negative reviews, because they were right. Too much fat + not enough flour = a shrinking and difficult to handle crust. Like another reviewer said this is a shortbread, not a crust. I was able to get it to roll out and into the pie pan, but it shrunk when baking even though I followed the tips to refrigerate it before and after getting it into the pie pan. After baking, it crumbled terribly, falling off of the pie with even the slightest contact. Most of my pie crust was on the table, the countertop and the portable pie taker I transported it in. Yes, I took this to a Thanksgiving dinner and had to make many apologies for the crust. The taste...was like a shortbread cookie with too much shortening. I avoided the "wet" crust everyone complained about by only putting in 3 T. of the mixed liquid. The mixed liquid was a joke with all of the unnecessary ingredients...I could have used water instead. I won't ever make this one again. You have been forewarned....beware of this one.
