I'm not sure what the hype on this dressing is. It smells good, but it is way to harsh. With dijon, green onions and raw garlic it is way to tangy/spicy. I'm not sure how anyone could taste orange above the three mentioned ingredients. It was like eating a mustard and garlic mixed together.

I wish I could give this dressing more than 5 stars ... it deserves a 10. I didn't have orange juice so I substituted apple juice instead (I figured it would mingle well with the other flavours) and it was supurb! I served it on a bed of mixed greens topped with sliced grilled chicken. Yum! This is definitely a keeper. I will make this next time with OJ. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe, Fran!

Wonderful! I did save the best part of the scallion greens and chop them finely and add after blending the dressing - gave it some nice color, and added a pinch of cayenne to complement the sweetness of this dressing.

I have been trying different salad dressings off of allrecipes for quite a while now. Of all the ones I have tried, this recieved the most positive reviews, from my entire family. There were a lot of flavors going on but the lite sour cream created a light, creamy taste and texture. I appreciated the bacon flavor, which came from very little bacon (just one piece), so much flavor came from deglazing the pan with the orange juice, I was shocked. This was the perfect amount to dress a salad for four people, and believe it or not all of the salad was gone at the end of the meal, rare indeed. The combo of sweet, tangy and smoky is a definite keeper.
