TheJollyPlate found this recipe to be hands down, the bestest (yes, the bestEST) chocolate chip cookie recipe currently on the planet! TJP has made this several times; sometime using chocolate pudding mix and sometimes using vanilla pudding mix. TJP suggests subbing 1t of the vanilla with 1t of maple flavoring (using 1t each of vanilla and maple). TJP also suggests that if you want to WOW your audience of children, husbands, co-workers or whoever, sub half of the chips with white chocolate or vanilla chips (along with the other half being chocolate chips) and sub macadamias instead of walnuts. Also, to make it extra spectacular, make two batches (one using vanilla pudding and one using chocolate pudding) and combine the white and chocolate pudding batches in each 1T scoop to make ying yang deliciousness! Best to make only what will be eaten the following day and keep the rest in the fridge; make fresh for lunches each evening for the following day and store what you won't use up during the current week in the freezer (just keep what you will be using in the current week in the fridge). Definitely a five star fab review from TheJollyPlate!
