Made this for my friend's baby shower and I ended up making a triple batch! Everyone loved this stuff!

This was delicious! I omitted the preserves and added in some blackberries and mandarin orange segments. I did have some issues with my first batch of chips smoking and slightly burning on the bottom - I decreased the cooking time slightly on the next batch and they were OK.

I made the chips and thought oh these are good. (I did not use cooking spray because I am trying to get away from them so I have another recipe that says just to spray water and sprinkle cinn/sugar.) BUT when paired up with the fruit they were even better. I did not add any additional sugar, to me fruit doesn't need it. Not sure how or why it could be better but I highly recommend this for a light snack.

Yumm! I modified this a bit, the market didnt have kiwis so I subbed for some canned peaches. Very yummy, the chips are similar to a sopapilla.

I agree with others who say it's a bit sweet, but I would definitely make it again! I made it for a Valentine's Day Party and used a heart shaped cookie cutter to make the cinnamon chips shaped like hearts. I used raspberry preserves. While I cut the apples, I had a bowl filled with 1/2 orange juice and half water nearby and soaked them for a few minutes to prevent browning. Overall it's delicious, simple, and an inexpensive way to bring fruit to a party!

Huge hit and so simple to make. Mine came out a little runny, but I'll try a different preserve next time. Will definitely make this again.

This was very Yummy. I did as several others had suggested about not adding addition sugar. Didn't find kiwis at the store so my fruit that was used was Fuji apples and banana (added closer to time to eat), grapes, mandarin oranges, strawberries and blueberries. Used strawberry preserves. DELICIOUS!!!! All three of my kids ate it up and will probably have more for breakfast tomorrow. The chips I did as someone else suggested as well as far as spraying both sides, cutting with a pizza cutter and dredging in cinnamon sugar. Will definately keep this one!!!

I loved this one too! I made this for a church group and the bowl was scraped until gone! It made a good amount so I was pleased about that. I left out the sugars and used raspberry jam. I also used the pampered chef chopper and I made this in 10 mins. I also got the cinnamon pita chips from Trader Joe's to save some time and they were great! Thanks for the recipe! I will be making this again, maybe for Easter.

I make this all of the time but I don't add the sugars or preserves. It tastes just as good but there are two tricks. Make it the night before, then it marinates in it's own juices. The second trick is to get the berries that are very soft and are almost bad. They are sweeter and you don't need the sugar! I make this for every get together because my guests request it! :)
