I gave this 3 stars because I changed the amounts. It gets 4 stars because it is the recipe on here that has the best starting point. I use only broccoli, red onion, shredded cheese, bacon (preferably pre-cooked bits because they are easier and somewhat healthier/less greasy) and sugar, mayo, and vinegar. I reduce the sugar to a scant Tablespoon, and reduce the vinegar to 1 T. We like ours a little mayonaise-ey and less sweet. I like sunflower seeds but seldom have them on hand, plus my husband could like without them. Raisins I can live without in any food. Thank you Alyson for helping me get the broccoli salad that I love!
