I have a feeling that candied cherries and maraschino cherries are not the same thing. I used the latter and there was a lot of liquid in the fudge when I cut into it. The flavor was still amazing and I am still loving eating it, but will make it the right way next time. Great change from the usual fudge and nice holiday colors.

WOW - quick and works!!! I changed a little - instead of the cherries and almond extract - I just used 1/2 cup of dried cranberries. I also used wax paper instead of the foil - makes for a smoother surface/appearance. I also used the fat free Le Lechera - the white kind - not the caramel kind - although I will be trying that next!!!

Made these for christmas last year (2008) - they came out great! I love cherry, and these did not disappoint. :) Easy to make, too.

Hmmm...I have mixed feelings about this recipe. I loved the taste of it, but mine never "set" quite right. Lol...ok, not much at all. I think I may have over greased the foil. I will try this again and hopefully next time I can get it to set right.
