  1. Whisk olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, sugar, Dijon mustard, kosher salt, and black pepper together in a bowl until creamy and smooth.

"Alexia's Lemony Vinaigrette" has a wonderful light tangy citrus flavor. I have made three citrus variations of this recipe: lemon; lime; and orange. Mine was beautifully flecked with both microplaned zest and mustard seeds because I used stone ground mustard. I also substituted honey for the sugar and assumed 3 ounces of fresh-squeezed citrus juice. This is a recipe I will make again many, many more times. Thank you Alexia Patramanis for sharing your recipe.
