  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
  2. Cream the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Stir in the egg yolk and vanilla. Mix in flour just until incorporated. Knead dough lightly on a board. Place in a pastry bag using the star design. Cut off desired lengths and shape into rings or S's.
  3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are golden.

As most Swedish sprits doughs this dough needs to rest in a cool place for at least 24 hours. Otherwise the cookies gets dry and are not very tasteful. These Spritz are very nice when you do tha...

This was the worst spritz cookie recipe I have ever used. You do not have to grease the pan, there is plenty of butter in the cookies to keep them from sticking. I got 22 cookies not 6 dozen. ...

This was not very tastey it was way to dry and floury it didn't even go through my spritzer.
