E-A-G-L-E-S Swirl Sandwich

AIRBORNE-CHEF

"Similar to Julie Anne's Jet Swirl, I put a South Philly Cheese Steak twist inspired by our favorite football team. Variations can be made by substituting provolone for the American cheese."

  • Ready In

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. When hot, add onion, mushrooms and garlic. Cook and stir until tender, about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza crust dough to a 12x9 inch rectangle. Cover with layers of vegetables, cheese and roast beef slices to within 1/2 inch of the edges. Starting at the longest side of the dough, roll across to the other side and pinch seam to seal. Place seam side down on a greased baking sheet. Whisk together the egg white and water with a fork and brush on top of the roll. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top of the roll.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown. Let cool slightly, then slice and serve.

This was not good. It had no flavor and needed some kind of sauce or dressing inside. Will not be making it again.

Oh, yum. This recipe took 2 of my favorite foods (calzones and cheesesteaks) and combined them into a practically sinful meal. What a great idea. Now, I typically like my cheesesteaks "Whiz W...

Super easy, good, and inexpensive to make! Thanks!

This is pretty good. I added some horse radish to give it more flavor.Makes a good size sandwich and it's also a kid pleaser.

I thought this was great..first time I followed recipe exactly and I loved it. Second time, I decided to put an italian spin on it, I used ham, pepperoni, mozz cheese, bell pepper and a little p...

I thought it was kinda bland. Good though, just needs something.

Phooey. Couldn't get the bottom to crisp up, even upping the temp and time. I put in extra spices, onions and green pepper. Perhaps saute the veggies first next time. I think they pretty muc...
