  1. Cream butter until very light. Cream in flour. Add water and vanilla. Add sugar until desired consistency is reached. For frosting the cake use a thinner icing. Then add additional sugar to make the icing thicker for putting decorations on the frosted cake.

yuck. Too much water and it made the butter separate from the other ingredients.

This is "awful"!!! Tastes like "wet flour"!!! What a waste of ingredients... Janet

i work with a lot of cakes and personally don't like this icing i was adding over 10 cups of confectioners sugar and it still didn't thicken up enough to decorate with thanks

i love it i made my kids it on cupcakes and in 3 mins they were gone you guys will love this frosting

It tasted good, but the icing never thickened. I followed the instructions, but it never worked. It was like a sugary syrup. The butter separated from the other ingredients and made everything g...
