Isa's Cola de Mono

"This is a traditional Chilean Christmastime drink of milk flavored with coffee and spices, passed down to me by our Chilean nanny Isa. It is delicious, and a must-try if you don't care for egg-nog. The recipe can be varied to suit your tastes - be creative with the proportions of coffee, cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla, as well as with your choice of liqueurs."

I made this beverage one year ago for the first time and I make this very often. It is so amazing. I fell in love with it. Use rum (pisco or cognac), this is a key ingredient.

I am from Chile and this recipe was very good, but I had to give it a 4 star because it needed more white rum than the recipe asked for.

I liked it just didn't loooove it. Nothing constructive add as to why....just have other rum based drinks I like even better.

Cola de mono is the best! good recipe but it has to be with Pisco! :) Just kidding. Viva Chile!

I gave this to my fiance and he renamed it "Cola de Bueno". This is awesome.

I love the spicy coffee flavored milk! I used soy milk. With or with out liquor this is a great drink!

This is a good guide as to how to make Cola de Mono, but it needs more pisco, more coffee and less milk. I have found this recipe very useful all the same. Its so yummy, I want to drink it all y...
