"This salmon recipe which was given by my mother is out of this world. Even my husband who hates salmon will eat this. This marinade is also very good on chicken breasts."

  1. In a large resealable bag, combine the apple juice, maple syrup, soy sauce, onion and garlic. Remove 1/2 cup of the mixture and set aside in a separate bowl for basting. Place the salmon fillets in the bag and seal. Refrigerate, turning occasionally for 3 hours to marinate.
  2. Preheat a grill for high heat. Lightly oil the grate.
  3. Place fish fillets on the grill and discard the bag with the marinade. Grill for 5 to 10 minutes per side depending on thickness, basting occasionally with the reserved marinade.

I made this, adding fresh ginger, and as a marinade it was still pretty subtle. Not the fullest flavour for the buck. HOWEVER once the salmon was grilling I boiled the marinade for about 10 minu...

Very Good. I added fresh ginger and a couple of extra cloves of garlic. I baked and added the extra marinade to the dish as it cooked.

This is a wonderful marinade! I usually won't eat fish, but we found a pre-marninated salmon at a store and fell in love and then of course, the store stopped carrying it! This recipe produces...

Delicious. I used green onions and included it in the marinade and also marinated for longer than 3 hours. Extra garlic (I tend to do this anyways) gives more flavor. The maple syrup I think is ...

Very good. I added a tablespoon of cornstarch to cold water to thicken it.

Found this recipe in a hurry for a Friday Night Salmon Special at my restaurant. I followed to a t, and should've read some of the user suggestions, but it sold out and people were raving!
