  1. Place gizzards in a saucepan with enough water to cover by 1 inch. Bring to a boil over medium heat, cover, and cook for 1 1/2 hours. Drain and chop into bite size pieces.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry gizzards in butter for about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Simple recipe, easy preparation...but gizzards were a bit chewy.

MMM, this was great. Only thing I did different was to add to the water some chopped onions, celery and a little poultry seasoning (I then save the broth to use when I've baked a chicken/turkey...

It was chewy (but that's how they are) but not very flavorful. Wish the recipe had more flavor. I did use garlic salt instead of regular salt and that added more flavor. I'll keep searching for ...

They were tender, however I prefer to eat them fried.

I just tried this recipe, and it's delicious . Except I added tangerine peeling and the small onions. Oh and I forgot lime..give my plate 10 stars

added crab boil in water taste great

I think by themselves the gizzards got lost in translation.This recipe was disappointed.
