  1. In a saucepan, combine the rice, water, soup mix and salt; bring to a boil. Add the vegetables; return to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Cook until the rice and vegetables are tender.

As is, this receipe is terribly bland. I added seasonings, butter, and cheddar cheese to make it edible; otherwise, we would have never eaten this.

I love this recipe. It is so incredible easy. It's a healthier alternitive to the boxed rices.

As is, this receipe is terribly bland. I added seasonings, butter, and cheddar cheese to make it edible; otherwise, we would have never eaten this.

This turned out like a rice porrige...But nevertheless it was tasty and a perfect side dish!

This is a great and easy side dish.
