  1. In a bowl, combine 1 teaspoon of cornstarch and 1 tablespoon soy sauce until smooth; add chicken and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine water, vinegar, sugar, hot pepper sauce, and remaining cornstarch and soy sauce; set aside.
  3. In a skillet, saute walnuts in oil until toasted; remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. In the same skillet, stir-fry chicken until juices run clear. Remove and keep warm. Add green pepper and ginger to skillet; cook and stir for 3 minutes or until pepper is crisp-tender.
  4. Stir cornstarch mixture; add to skillet. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Return chicken and walnuts to pan. Serve over rice.

I loved this dish. So easy and delicious! I added some green onion and used cashews instead of walnuts.

Very tasty, but I tripled the sauce and added onion, sliced carrot, thick mushroom slices, and would have thrown some snap peas in if I had them. Also, I added ginger as well to the marinade and...

This was OK. Needed a little kick.

Excellent!! I added water chestnuts for a little crunch a some crushed red pepper flakes for a little more spiciness. Our entire family loves this dish.

Made this pretty much as written, only difference is that we added green onions and garlic. Excellent!
