Watermelon Margaritas

"You can freeze the diced watermelon for up to two weeks. Place diced watermelon on a cookie sheet in the freezer for six hours or overnight. Store frozen cubes in a zip-top freezer bag until ready to use."

  1. Place 2 teaspoons sugar in a saucer. Rub rims of 6 glasses with 1 lime wedge; spin rim of each glass in sugar to coat. Set prepared glasses aside. Combine watermelon and next 4 ingredients (watermelon through triple sec) in a blender; process until smooth. Fill each prepared glass with 1/2 cup crushed ice. Add 1/2 cup margarita to each glass. Garnish each glass with a lime wedge, if desired. Serve immediately.

These were great! We did it first with the crushed ice in the glass but thought it too much, so we dumped the ice and just put the watermelon margueritas in the glass -don't forget a straw!

These are scrumptious. A big hit for summer get togethers. I've made them three times so far this summer and we're addicted!

I've now made these twice, and I like them much better without the additional ice. Probably a bit too much trouble to make frequently, but a refreshing treat nonetheless!
