"Great for a quick-but-healthy side dish. White cooking wine can be used instead of 1 tablespoon water at the end of cooking."

  1. Bring 2/3 cup water and quinoa to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until quinoa is tender and water has been absorbed, 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; saute kale and garlic in the hot oil until kale is wilted, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Stir quinoa into kale mixture and add sesame oil; cook until flavors blend, about 5 more minutes. Add 1 tablespoon water to mixture to keep from sticking.

Simple, fast, delicious. I was looking for an easy quinoa recipe for a weeknight side dish and this fit the bill. We are trying to replace rice with whole grains like quinoa, and I wanted a dish...

It is good, but needs a bit more garlic or salt. I'm not a cook so I appreciate the recipe. I think there is a lot of room to experiment.

Garlic Kale Quinoa Haiku: "A divine side dish! Just needs more than one cup kale, cuz it shrinks so much." I never thought that I'd dive into a side dish w/ as much glee as I did this one, but W...

Very good blend of flavors. I made exactly as the recipe stated. I might use more kale next time, but it was wonderful as is.

I really liked this. It was quick and easy to make. I added a few other seasonings and doubled the recipe, which was perfect for 2 people.

This was good as written, but it needs something. Maybe toasted pine nuts, or hot pepper flakes. I'll make this again but will tweak the recipe for a bit more flavor.

I really liked this--very tasty combination. I did double (or more) the kale and will definitely be making again. Thanks for a great recipe!

I substituted couscous for the quinoa because I was out of quinoa, but the recipe still turned out great! We paired it with lemon butter chicken. Great side for the chicken!

Great recipie, we added red onions and left out the seame oil. Turned out great and went perfect with our grilled steaks!!
