  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Beat butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together in a bowl using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Beat eggs and vanilla extract into butter mixture until incorporated.
  3. Whisk oats, flour, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl; slowly stir into butter mixture until dough is just mixed. Scoop dough using a small scooper onto baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until edges of cookies are lightly browned, about 15 minutes.

I made this tonight. Yummy. I did dip the tops in turbinado sugar before baking. I am not a chocolate chip cookie lover, but I thought these were very good. My grown son gave them thumbs up.

These were good, but seemed to be too dry and crumbly, so the cookies didn't hold together. I followed the recipe exactly, but I think it needs a bit more butter to make the batter less dry.
