  1. Heat large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add ground beef; cook 8 to 10 minutes, breaking into 3/4-inch crumbles and stirring occasionally. Pour off drippings. Stir in taco seasoning mix according to package directions; remove seasoned beef from skillet with slotted spoon.
  2. Combine seasoned beef, tortilla chips, cheese and tomato in large bowl. Line 4 plates with salad greens. Top with beef mixture. Top with olives, onion and dressing, if desired.

  • Cook's Tip: Taco seasoning mix is sold in packages ranging from 1 to 1-1/2 ounces. Any size package that seasons 1 pound ground beef may be used in this recipe.
  • Cook's Tip: Cooking times are for fresh or thoroughly thawed ground beef. Ground beef should be cooked to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F. Color is not a reliable indicator of ground beef doneness.

When I make this recipe I use nacho cheese flavored Doritos and mix in a cup or more of thousand island dressing. I usually mix it all together as stated but the chip do get soft and some people...

This was a delicious, easy to make taco salad!

This was delicious. I made it exactly as written, except I used salsa instead of a diced fresh tomato. We thoroughly pigged out and enjoyed ourselves, and I'd love to play around with it in the ...

This is my go to Taco Salad. My family loves the simplicity of this meal and I love how quickly it goes together.

I doubled this recipe. I used ground turkey, a homemade taco seasoning, used nacho cheese tortilla chips from Aldi, and I made a sour cream ranch-salsa dressing to go on the top. Even doubled th...
