  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place bread into a food processor and blend until crumbled. Transfer bread crumbs to a shallow bowl. Add 1 cup Parmesan cheese, oregano, basil, and garlic; stir to combine.
  3. Press chicken breast halves into bread crumb mixture until coated; arrange on a large baking dish. Drizzle chicken with vegetable oil and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until chicken breasts are no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 30 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

Easy, quick and everything was on hand. I did add a bit more parmesan cheese. The chicken breasts I used where on the large size so I did add to the baking time. Thanks mxDOc!

This was about substitution (things I had) I used French bread, Italian seasoning for the basil and oregano, sprayed them with olive oil and as they were partially frozen cooked them for an hour...

Great flavor and just enough crunch. Easy dinner that my family loved. Used Romano because I didn't have Parmesan.

Nice! I did use homemade breadcrumbs from my freezer. I do think the breading mix needs a touch of salt. Will make again!!

This was delicious! I used bread crumbs instead of bread slices, but did everything else according to the recipe. I am making it again for company tonight!
