  1. Heat figs, red wine, sugar, honey, red pepper flakes, and salt in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer until wine is reduced and thickened, about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Oh my gosh, this was so good! I could just eat it with a spoon and nothing else! I ended up only using 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes because I wasn't sure how spicy it would be, though next time ...

Such a good combination with crackers and mozzarella cheese!
