  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Whisk olive oil, marjoram, basil, rosemary, thyme, sea salt, paprika, black pepper, and vegetable bouillon powder together in a bowl. Rub pork shanks with herb rub and arrange on a large baking pan.
  3. Roast in preheated oven until shanks are tender and outer skin is crispy, about 3 hours.

it is so good

Turned out amazing - what I did do additionally is cut the layer of fat to just under the meat and rubbing the herb rub into the slits also gives the meat a delicious taste - also, the last 5 mi...

It turned out like I had in Muchen. I have had it twice and it is great.

great as given. I also used smoked hocks the next time I made it and it was not as good. So, fresh only.
