  1. Place potatoes, celery, onion, chicken stock, and parsley into a slow cooker. Season with salt and black pepper. Set cooker on High, cover, and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 2 hours.
  2. Whisk flour with milk in a bowl until smooth. Pour into slow cooker and stir until thickened. Cook on High for 2 more hours.
  3. Mash potatoes in the slow cooker to your desired thickness and consistency; stir in cream cheese and cooked ham. Simmer soup until cream cheese has melted, soup is thick and creamy, and ham is heated through, 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Didn't get creamy enough - needed more flour. Had a good flavor though.

Very good, nutritional soup. It was a good meal for a cold day. I'll be making it again very soon.

Delicious, easy and you can add other vegetables like broccoli and mushrooms to the recipe.

Absolutely delicious! I made mine on the stove and it was ready in less than an hour. Instead of ham I used bacon. I used whole milk and it was thick and creamy. Will make again for sure!

Doubled this for a pot luck....everyone loved it and family was happy I brought some home!! As always, followed recipe as written for this initial try. Was great

This is the best potato soup ever. I added more potatoes and extra onion but the overall look and taste of this soup is wonderful. I served it with fresh biscuits. A hearty meal

Great and easy recipe. I use bacon and chedder cheese in replace of ham.

Easy and if you follow the directions given, it will blow you out of this world. Initially, I doubled the ingredients; ate half and froze the other half.
