  • Prep

  • Ready In

  1. Combine broccoli, chicken, walnuts, and green onions in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk mayonnaise, vinegar, and sugar together in a bowl until well blended.
  3. Pour mayonnaise dressing over broccoli mixture; toss to coat.
  4. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, if desired. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon to serve.

  • Cook's Note:
  • The recipe calls for raw broccoli, but I like to microwave about 2 minutes in a small bit of water to steam, then chill. I also use light mayo or salad dressing and Splenda®. You can omit the chicken and it makes a delicious broccoli salad.
  • Tip
  • Aluminum foil helps keep food moist, ensures it cooks evenly, keeps leftovers fresh, and makes clean-up easy.

i used sweet vidalia onion dressing instead and it is fantastic :) thank you for posting this :)

Fantastic salad! I don't use sugar, so subbed honey instead. Fried up a whole pkg of uncured bacon and added to the salad instead of sprinkling on top as a garnish. The dressing is perfect! Will...

Great summer salad. I added half a red apple, chopped small, and that extra sweetness added a lot. I put the salad on top of lettuce when I served it.

I thought this salad was very good, with a nice combination of flavors that went very well together. I even tried some without bacon (GASP!) and found it to be equally as good as the portions t...

Delicious, never had this before and I've always hated Waldorf salad so I was leery. Excellent, thanks for the recipe!

Easy to make, healthy with healthy substitutions available to make it healthier. Wonderful picnic or party cover dish to share!

I loved this salad! But I did change it to one red onion instead of green. Tiny less sugar, add cherry tomatoes, and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Also sliced hard boil egg on top with a sprinkl...
