Whenever I make ham this sauce is a must to go with it!!

Most helpful critical review

If I made it again I'd almost half the sugar, way too sweet perhaps add a small clove of garlic. My husband enjoyed it and said it was a little too sweet, he has a very sweet tooth. :)

Whenever I make ham this sauce is a must to go with it!!

Just as our ham was coming out of the oven on Christmas Day I realized I wanted a mustard sauce like my mom used to make. This was bang on! So simple, and so delicious! I didn't change a thin...

The sauce was quite thin, so I thickened it with corn starch. Has a good, rich mustard flavor!

This turned out really good! It was a tad too sweet for my liking so I'd cut the sugar back to 1/3 cup next time. The key is constant stirring and you can see it thickening and then just pull it...

This has been a family recipe for as long as I can remember. PERFECT with ham.

The sauce got complement at a potluck party! I didn't have sugar and replace it with 2 teaspoon of honey. As the mixture heats up, it will thicken! Will make it again!

Great simple recipe! I will make this again for sure. I would cut down a little on the sugar next time. :)
