Banana Butter Frosting

Lisa Altmiller 59

"Grandma Lottie's recipe for delicious banana frosting. This recipe produces enough frosting to frost the top and sides of 8- to 9-inch layer cakes. So easy and so yummy!"

Like this recipe. It has only a slight taste of banana. The consitance was thin but after I had refidgerated it for a while it was fine. The next time I make this I will whip the butter first...

Love this recipe. However I did add in some vanilla and an 8 ounce block of cream cheese to mine and it was amazing. Thank you for posting this.

This was AMAZING! I put this on cake, but I now want to put it on cupcakes. Do you know how much it will use for cupcakes?

Mine never thickened up and was more like a glaze then frosting. Will try again and maybe not let me bananas get as ripe. The flavor was good though and everyone enjoyed what little did stay on ...

Great recipe! I did add some vanilla and 3 TBSP of cocoa powder and used less sugar (judging the consistency as I mixed it).
