  1. Toast walnuts in large dry fry pan over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 3 min., or until fragrant and lightly toasted.
  2. Stir in maple syrup and Shreddies. Stir constantly 3 min., or until mixture is evenly coated and all syrup has been absorbed. If desired, sprinkle with salt.
  3. Transfer to parchment paper lined sheet; cool. Shreddies will crisp up as they cool.


  • Storage Know-How: Store in air-tight container or resealable plastic bag at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
  • Kitchen Tip: Dark or amber maple syrup provides a more intense maple flavour than light maple syrup.
