  1. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, dulce de leche, and cinnamon until thoroughly combined. Spread 2 slices of bread with the mixture, half on each slice. Divide the apple slices in half, and arrange the slices on top of the cream cheese topping. Top with remaining bread slices to make 2 sandwiches.
  2. Spray a large non-stick skillet with cooking spray, and place over medium heat. Pan-fry the sandwiches until toasted and golden brown on each side, about 3 minutes per side.

  • Editor's Note
  • Dulce de leche is sweet candy spread made by cooking milk and sugar down to its golden caramel essence. Look for it in Hispanic grocery stores and specialty foods stores.
  • Tip
  • Aluminum foil helps keep food moist, ensures it cooks evenly, keeps leftovers fresh, and makes clean-up easy.

This is a really great recipe. My 3 yr old LOVED it. It's not super sweet. Just right. Will definitely make it again. Someone wrote that they just used regular bread. Definitely have to use th...

It was delicious and so easy to make! Perfect for any time of day.

we used goat dulce de leche which gives it a slight goat cheese taste. I wasn't a huge fan and would make it with regular, but our friends loved it with the goats milk version.

My girlfriend had me over for brunch yesterday and she prepared this. it BLEW ME AWAY! it is so delish! She used maple bread instead of raisen bread and used caramel syrup for the dulce de leche...

This was really good. I will definitely make again, but the next time I make, I will use a more tart apple like a granny smith. There's so much sweet that it needs to be balanced out with some...
