i thought it would be a good way to use up the herbs I had in my cabinet, but really not worth the effort. I enjoy the convenience, and reliabilty of the standard lipton onion soup mix.

Be sure to use low-sodium bouillon granules. If you cannot find them, make the mix without bouillon granules and substitute low-sodium beef broth for any liquid in the recipe you are using.
