  1. Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat; add onions, garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 5 minutes until onions are tender. Add broth, tomatoes and bread cubes. Cook; stirring occasionally until simmering. Stir in basil.
  2. Divide into four serving bowls. Top with cheese and additional basil if desired.

The part of the title "Garlic Bread" doesn't fit the recipe in my opinion. I ended up using 3 cloves of garlic in this and using an immersion blender at the end to transform the soup into what b...

Is it meant to be a bread soup flavored with tomato and garlic? Or a tomato soup with garlic bread? Not that adding .5 teaspoons of garlic adds garlic flavor anyway.

Absolutly amazing!!!!! I will make it again.
