  1. Melt butter in a medium sauce pan over medium heat. Whisk in flour. Remove from heat and add a small amount of cream, stirring to prevent clumping. Return to low heat and add cheese. Stir until cheese melts and sauce thickens.

The instructions leave a little to be desired but the sauce is a good one. It probably should be called Cheese Sauce though. Melt the butter, add the flour and stir and cook. Add the milk or...

Yum! Using havarti in a white sauce is a great idea!

Added some garlic powder, salt and pepper. It was fantastic. Even my almost 2 yr old loved it!

This cheese sauce is a great starting base to several dish ideas!

My family LOVES this sauce. I use it on Chimichangas! I think they'd eat it like soup if I let them :)
