  1. Combine cream cheese and pineapple. Stir in confectioners sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and pecans. Spread 6 slices of bread with cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining 6 slices of bread.
  2. Whisk eggs, half and half, remaining 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and cinnamon together. Carefully dip each sandwich into egg mixture.
  3. Melt butter in a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook sandwiches until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Combine apricot preserves and orange juice in a small saucepan. Heat, stirring constantly, until warm. Ladle over stuffed French toast.

As is this recipe would NOT work for us. There is WAY too much cream cheese mixture. And the apricot syrup is WAY too sweet. I used french bread instead of sliced bread and it held up pretty wel...

I used fresh baked bread and farm fresh eggs and fruit from my local market instead and it was amazing! Just make time to let it settle and have a tea afterwards :)

My family loved this. I used peaches instead of pineapple so the filling was 'peaches and cream'. No need for the preserves on top, I just diced more fresh peaches and dusted with powdered sugar...

Kids loved them! Did not try the apricot sauce, we used blueberry syrup. Next time will use a different white bread with more strength but over all really good.

I had better luck with stale french bread(the wonder bread was too soft and gushy). We used coconut syrup recipe from this website and it was a tropical breakfast treat. I'll bet banana slices w...

Sooo delicious way better than IHop and I made it myself

yummy, but too much cream cheese. we used frozen strawberries and no pecans.

The whole family enjoyed these! The only exception was that we perfer using our normal syrup, the apricot one was too sweet for our taste.

This one is a winner! Great flavour and a pleaser to all who eats it.
