  1. Preheat the oven's broiler and set the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
  2. Mix the mayonnaise, Cheddar cheese, green onions, salt, garlic salt, and pepper in a bowl. Spread the cheese mixture over each English muffin half. Cut the muffins into quarters and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Broil in the preheated oven until cheese is bubbly, 4 to 6 minutes.

Made these last night. Added black olives suggested by other reviews. My Husband loved them! I thought they were just ok.

I have been eating these since I was a kid. We add chopped black olives and curry powder to ours. have never added salt.

An alternative is make tuna salad with chopped onions, celery and mayo. Spread on english muffs and top with a slice of cheddar cheese. Broil until cheese is melted. Yummy.

Try adding some chopped black olives. Makes it even better!

Great basic recipe. I always use garlic powder, not garlic salt. (It is mostly salt.) Black olives and crab meat is the best addition. Will make them often.

I followed Barbara's advice and added black olives. I used low-fat cheese and mayo and these little guys were still very rich and delicious. Thanks for the recipe, Dave!
