Candy Wraps

Candy Wraps

Emilia Finn

"This is a splendid recipe that is extremely tasty! You don't really cook anything, so it is good for kids to make, but it is better if it can chill for about three and a half hours so the marmalade and syrup can seep into the tortilla so you get a sweeter and gooier product. This simple recipe is tantalizingly gooey and sweet, so it can be used as a snack, part of a meal, or a dessert!"

  1. Lay the tortilla out on a clean surface or dinner plate. Spread orange marmalade on one half, then spread maple syrup on the other. Roll the tortilla up tightly, starting at the end with the syrup and finishing with marmalade. Use toothpicks to hold it together if needed, or wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for a few hours, then slice into 1 inch pieces to serve.

kids enjoyed this with the strawberry jam we just canned. Thank you for idea, wouldn't have thought to add maple syrup to a wrap, but made for a tasty, quick breakfast on the go.

syrup was a grossly rich ingredient. I would have been better off making a peanut butter and jelly roll-up.

The children loved this. They will experiment with different flavours of jam! Thanks.

Great idea. Can also be made with any different fillings. The possibilities are limitless. tHANKS FOR THE CONCEPT.

These were ok. My kids didn't much care for them. I tried one with orange marmalade and another with strawberry preserves. Not bad, but not a favorite.

I let these sit for the several hours and they still didn't turn into much other than a tortilla with jam and syrup on it. Not awful but not anything great either even the kids didn't much care ...
