  • Ready In

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  2. Set the ham with the flat side down in a large roasting pan. In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar, cornstarch, mustard, cinnamon and Scotch. Brush some of the mixture onto the ham, reserve the rest for basting.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven, basting every 20 minutes, for 2 hours. Remove from the oven and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Let stand for 15 minutes before removing the foil and serving. This ham is delicious served warm, at room temperature or even cold.

Footnotes

  • Note
  • Have your butcher slice the ham into 1/2-inch slices and then tied to retain the original shape of the ham.

best ham receipe ever, my FATHER-N-LAW took the leftovers home!

I won't make ham another way. It was a little out of the ordinary - infused with the spiciness from the scotch - perfect for Christmas. Don't need to be a scotch drinker to appreciate it. Del...

Huge success. Cooked this for Christmas dinner. My sister-in-law, who is a professional cook, asked for the recipe! Huge hit with everyone. Even I liked it, and I am not a huge fan of ham. I coo...
