  1. In a large bowl, combine broccoli, raisins and onion. In a small bowl, combine sugar, vinegar and mayonnaise. Pour over broccoli; toss to coat. Refrigerate. Just before serving, sprinkle with bacon and sunflower seeds; toss.

I substituted the raisins with dried cranberry and the sunflower seeds with toasted almonds. Even my kids, who usually don't like broccoli had seconds of this salad. It's definitely a keeper!

Very good and everyone said they loved the recipe. When I tripled the recipe, somehow there was too much of the mayo mixture. I recommend mixing with the broccoli first to see how it tastes.

I've made this lots of times but used much less mayo and no sugar. I've also subbed dried cranberries and soy nuts for the raisins and sunflower seeds. I agree, it's a keeper.
