Beef and Cheddar Quiche

Beef and Cheddar Quiche

"This recipe has been a family favorite for years. It's easy to prepare and perfect for a busy schedule. I've also made this recipe with salmon - substituting two cans for the ground beef and adding 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice. It's great!"

  1. In a skillet, cook the beef until browned. Meanwhile, line unpricked pastry shell with a double thickness of heavy-duty foil. Bake at 450 degrees F for 5 minutes. Remove foil; bake for 5 minutes more. Set aside. Drain beef; place in a large bowl. Add the eggs, mayonnaise, milk, onion, cornstarch, salt, pepper and 1 cup cheese. Pour into crust. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. If necessary, cover the edges of crust with foil to prevent overbrowning. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Let stand 5-10 minutes before cutting.

I thought that it was delicious. But it was missing something not sure what yet, but I'll figure it out. I definitely enjoyed it just something missing.

Was very yummy. I did make a few changes to make it more figure friendly. I used ground turkey, only half the amount of cheese, and halved the mayo by using Greek yogurt. Also, I made the crust ...

Excellent Quiche. Tastes more like an egg casserole. Took around an hour to cook. Followed the recipe with the exception of adding half a red pepper and an extra egg. Real hearty.

Tried this tonight and was loved!! I used a bit more of the ground beef in mine than it calls for but the mixture was perfect! This will be cooked at lot around my house

I have been making this recipe for a while and have always loved it, but recently I started adding a red pepper and using green onions instead of yellow and it made it so much better! Definitely...

My family really liked this. It was too salty for my taste. Next time I am only going to use 1/2 tsp salt instead of a full teaspoon. Thanks for the recipe!

I was shocked at how fast it was gone.

definitely buy a pre made pastry shell.
