French Meat Pie

French Meat Pie

 Made  times

"Some time ago, when I was working at a newspaper, a co-worker happened to bring a meat pie for lunch. The aroma was familiar to me, and I asked for a taste. To my amazement, it was the same pie my grandmother used to serve when I was a youngster! I copied the recipe, and I have been enjoying French Meat Pie ever since. It's still delicious!"

All I could taste was the allspice. My husband thought it was ok with lots of salt and pepper.

Delicious! I cut the allspice in half because of a previous review. I think it was the right call. My husband loves it!

I followed the recipe except I cut the allspice back to 1 tsp and added 1 tsp of poultry seasoning. Very easy and very good.

Loved this. I had to use pillsbury dinner rolls to form the crust because I didn't have a pie crust available. My family gobbled this up. Very easy to make too.

My grandmother used to make this every Christmas served with ketchup on top! Only variance was that she used ground sage instead of allspice.

this is soooo good. i didn't have allspice...added cinnamon.. i've made this a few times with rave reviews... yummy :)
