Celery Seed Slaw

Celery Seed Slaw

"A simple cooked dressing gives this crisp cabbage mixture a delightful sweet-and-sour flavor my family savors. When I was a child, my mother used the recipe often, too. It's perfect for potlucks since you make it ahead, then chill it before serving. -Ronnie Stone, Arapahoe, North Carolina"

I really wanted to like this slaw, but, unfortunately, I didn't. I was intrigued by the recipe because it has no oil (and no mayo), but it just wasn't a hit with my family. Sorry.

If you like sweet slaw, you will love this. Very easy, but be sure you make it a day ahead so it can spend all night in the fridge. I used a packaged cole slaw mix and added the peppers.

We have used this recipe several times now and my entire familly adores it. I typically use half the recipe per half a cabbage head. I also let the cabbage marinate for a while so the cabbage b...
