Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding

Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding

"I WAS fortunate to grow up around fabulous cooks. My mother and grandmother taught me to experiment with recipes, and we tried a lot of variations on this one. No matter how we chose to embellish it, it was always tasty. When I make this, it brings fond memories to mind. -Laura German, North Brookfield, Massachusetts"

I ended up starting with half cup 1/2&1/2, and half cup milk. I ended up adding more and more milk as it cooked. Also added some nutmeg and cinnamon, and ended up with a great tasting pudding.

I think this is a very good recipe. I used the box of white rice the people at the chinese restaurants send home when you order from them. I added 2t cornstarch to thicken and doubled the vani...

Quick & easy to make. I added 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup for added flavor. Used 1 Tbsp brown sugar instead of the 5 tsp white sugar. I will definitely be making this again!

This was very bland. More vanilla is a must and I also added cinnamon after tasting to give it some flavor.
