  1. In a large saucepan, combine the beans, water and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until tender.
  2. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, saute the onion, celery and green pepper in margarine until tender. Stir in the tarragon, lemon-pepper and pepper. Drain beans; add vegetable mixture and toss to coat.

My family enjoyed this way of seasoning green beans. I found it easy, too, so I will definitely repeat.

We enjoyed this fresh take on the normally boring green bean side dish. I used fresh tarragon which makes a positive difference, as does butter instead of margarine.

I hadn't thought of using tarragon with green beans but I tried this and we really like it. I did make a few changes, I added 1/2 t turmeric, instead of lemon pepper, omitted the celery and gree...

This was very good.
