  • Ready In

  1. In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into a loaf in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Drizzle with ketchup. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 1-1/2 hours or until meat is no longer pink and a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F. Using two large spatulas, carefully transfer meat loaf to a serving platter.

Footnotes

  • If you open up a whole package of bacon but don't use it all at once, freeze strips in a single layer on a baking sheet. When frozen, transfer to a large resealable plastic bag. Remove and thaw strips as needed.

The best meatloaf I ever made! The stewed tomotoes are what make this meatloaf better than any of my others. Will make this again for sure!

Bacon always flavors everything but we never had it in a meatloaf. I’ve added shredded carrots to meatloaf but never added a can of stewed tomatoes or quick-cooking oats –which sounded interesti...

I have made this more times than I can remember. My husband likes it exactly the way it is.

This meatloaf tasted great. It was moist and using the oats surprised me as to how good it would taste. I will make this again.

Very tasty and moist. I left out bacon to reduce the fat and it was still very good. We ate seconds. I reduced recipe for 1 1/3 lbs meat and cooked for 45 minutes, could maybe cook a bit longer ...
