  1. In a bowl, combine the first four ingredients. Crumble beef over the mixture and mix well. Shape into 1-in. balls. Place in a slow cooker. In a bowl, combine the ketchup, water, vinegar and sugar; mix well. Pour over meatballs. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the meat is no longer pink.

I followed the recipe just as it was shown, they smelled good and tasted good also. My fault with this recipe is the grease..... it cooks right into your balls and you never notice it. yuk .....

Yummy recipe, the only thing I will change next time is use 1/2 the amount of milk, as suggested in other peoples' posts because the mixture was a bit wet and hard to form.
