  • Ready In

  1. In a skillet, cook beef, onion, salt and pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain and cool. Place two biscuits over-lapping on a floured surface; roll out into a 5-in. oval. Place 3 tablespoons meat mixture on one side. Fold a cheese slice to fit over meat mixture. Fold dough over filling; press edges with a fork to seal. Repeat with remaining biscuits, meat mixture and cheese. Place on a greased baking sheet. Prick tops with a fork. Bake at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Footnotes

  • Pricking the tips of Cheeseburger Pockets helps steam escape during baking. If you don't do this, the pockets will puff up and may break open.

I liked this recipes but only put the meat, onions and cheese on the inside for baking. Too many picky eaters at my house.

Made these for a quick meal and they turned out pretty well. I also made a quick thousand island dipping sauce to go with them which was a great addition to the meal.

Love it. I added tomato ketchup to the beef mix. It added a lot of flavor, although, it made them closer to sloppy joes. Next time I think I will try bbq sauce and maybe bacon.

very good and im gonna try ham and cheese, pizza and other experiments for fillings!! thank you!

I used pre-made pita-pockets because I had some that needed to be used. My husband and kids loved them..I added bacon on top of the meat, like a bacon cheese burger. They were a bit hit and will...

Family loved this recipe!
