  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the first five ingredients. In another bowl, combine eggs, oil and orange peel; mix well. Add to dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Fold in cranberries, chocolate chips and walnuts. Pour into two greased 8-in. x 4-in. x 2-in. loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks. If glaze is desired, combine confectioners' sugar and orange juice until smooth; spread over cooled loaves.

This bread was delicious. I omitted the chocolate chips and made a glaze of 4 T. melted butter, 2 cups confectioners sugar, and about 1/4 cup orange juice, plus some grated rind.

I loved this cranberry Bread. I used white chocolate chips per one review. I love the orange taste. I did add 2 Tbsp. of orange juice and 2 tsp. of orange extract to bring out the orange flavor....

This is very good, but the proportions are a little off. It needed another 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup buttermilk. I would definitely make this again just with extra milk. So good!
