  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the first five ingredients. In another bowl, combine eggs, oil and orange peel; mix well. Add to dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Fold in cranberries, chocolate chips and walnuts. Pour into two greased 8-in. x 4-in. x 2-in. loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks. If glaze is desired, combine confectioners' sugar and orange juice until smooth; spread over cooled loaves.

This was very easy and tasty,,,I used craisins (no fresh or frozen are available this time of year in Minnesota)and skipped the choc. chips,,I've made it 3 times to share with friends

This is very good, but the proportions are a little off. It needed another 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup buttermilk. I would definitely make this again just with extra milk. So good!

This is a nice, light bread. This is a large recipe, so I halved it and baked it in an 8x8 pan. 25 minutes was perfect. I didn't have buttermilk so I soured milk with orange juice concentrate. N...
