Haddock with Citrus Salsa

  1. For salsa, in a bowl, combine the oranges, onion, lime juice, cilantro, pepper flakes, garlic, orange peel, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Cover and chill. Combine coriander, cumin and remaining salt and pepper; rub over both sides of fillets. Grill, covered, over medium-hot heat or broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 5-6 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Serve with citrus salsa.

I also drizzled OJ on the fish before broiling and diced the oranges for the salsa. This recipe is delicious and easy to make.

I'm not usually a fan of spicy foods, and the salsa seemed a bit much for me. Otherwise it was a nice combo of mild fish and juicy citrus.

I used a paste of fresh cilantro and some Meyer lemon juice as part of the rub for the filet. It needed much less time when I broiled the second side--only 2 minutes. So tasty!

This recipe was good, however it was a tad spicy. If I were to make this again I would add less crushed red pepper. Also, I felt that the orange overpowered the fish itself so less of that as ...
