  1. Place butter in an 11-in. x 7-in. x 2-in. microwave-safe dish. Cover and microwave on high for 60-70 seconds or until melted. Add taco seasoning. Stir in the cereal until evenly coated. Microwave on high for 1 minute; stir. Heat 1 to 1-1/2 minutes longer; stir. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese; microwave for 1 minute. Stir; heat 1 minute longer.

Loved it, quick and easy to make, the second time I made it I added Cheese Crackers, even better.

Too salty and it needs more than just chex mix--maybe some other cereal or pretzels or peanuts?

I like this idea but it does need some tweaking. I added Cheez It crackers but wasn't crazy about their texture with the Chex. Definitely think about adding pretzels and/or nuts. On the plus ...
