  1. In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese and sugar; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Split cake into three horizontal layers. Place bottom layer on a serving plate; top with half of the cheese mixture. Repeat layers. Top with the remaining cake layer. Cover and refrigerate until serving.

pretty good- added 1 tsp of vanilla to the filling mixture.

This recipe gets five starts for ease of preparation and simple taste. It's not too rich, and is a perfect, light-tasting dessert to accompany a rich Italian entree. Kids love it, too.

Not bad. I'm not a big ricotta cheese fan, but this turned out ok.

I made this for an Italian potluck meal .... very delish. I didn't know ricotta was this good. There were no left overs.

Very good! It disappears like magic! I had a couple loaves of friendship bread, and they worked well in this recipe.
